Why Choose Custom Framing?
The furnishings in your home (or office) define your personality and style, and  custom picture framing is the best way to achieve the unique look that is right for you.  Think of your artwork as furniture, because it has the same impact in a room as a piece of furniture has, and with the proper framing, will last you at least as long.  With this in mind, buying only the best in quality makes the most sense, and you will also benefit from the wide variety of choices available to enhance and preserve your artwork selection.

Why Choose Classic Art & Frame Co.?
In business since 1979, the framers are experienced, both in design and craftsmanship. We all enjoy finding out about your decor, favorite colors, room layouts, and other various things that go into making the best framing design selections.   We then offer information about the different choices in quality of materials for the matting, backing, and glazing (glass or acrylic), and make recommendations as to what might be the best choice for you.  Then we assist in your frame selection, be it traditional, contemporary, baroque, or whatever will work to pull your artwork together to its best advantage, with your room setting in mind.

ABOUT MATTING
The mat is the colored border that surrounds the artwork.  It serves several functions, both technical and aesthetic.  Technically, the mat keeps the glass from touching the artwork, and aesthetically, manages to isolate the work for the viewers' eye.  There are a great many rules as to how to accomplish successful aesthics in matting choices, in both color and mat width, and you will receive a lesson, if you wish, each time you come in for framing.  Should the mat be dark or light? Wide or narrow?  Come in and find out.
GLASS, BACKING and FRAME
Did you know there are at least 6 different kinds of  "glazing" with which to face your framing?  Each has different attributes, and it's important!  So don't put a valuable document, photograph, painting, or anything of value to you into a frame without knowing what is in front of it.  The backing is almost as important.  Some boards used in mass-produced framing are very damaging to paper, so bring your work to Classic Art & Frame where you will be sure to get the better or best quality products you can.
